Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a mild, non-irritating formulation that soothes skin as it cleans. In fact, it’s gentle enough for a baby’s delicate skin. Designed specifically to work for all skin types, it is a simple, yet highly effective way to care for your skin.

How to use?

Directions for use without water: Apply a liberal amount of cleanser to the skin and rub gently. Remove excess with a soft cloth, leaving a thin film on the skin.

Directions for use with water: Apply cleanser to the skin and rub gently. Rinse.

Ingredients of Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser:

Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Stearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben

Packaging of Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser:

The packaging of the cleanser is very simple and minimalistic. It comes is a plastic bottle with a simple pop up opening and closing. The size of the bottle is small and thus, convenient to carry with and travel easily. The details of the usage of the product i.e. it can be used on both the face and the body has been mentioned on the bottle.

Fragrance and Texture of Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser:

The product has a medicinal fragrance to it. Since the cleanser is medicated, it only makes sense that it would have such fragrance. Talking about the texture it is white in colour and is not that thick or thin in texture. The consistency of the product is not that flowy, it spreads easily on the skin.

My experience with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser:

I have not really used any non-foaming cleanser except for Kama Mridul soap free cleanser, Forest Essentials Ubtan. My skin was not behaving that properly, so I decided to go for the Cetaphil one. As, a lot of people have raved about the product.

Talking about my experience, to be honest I did not enjoy using it at first. So, I used this one for the double cleansing method. I would use it first and after that, I would go in with a foaming cleanser.

Talking about the effect on my skin, it does make the skin feel soft and supple. I don’t see a crazy difference as such in the texture of the skin, or an improvement in the breakouts. I have used half of the bottle. It does help you get rid of dust and grime. There is dust everywhere in Gurgaon. So, that is good.

I started using this cleanser while I started having a breakout situation. After using this for quite some time, I still feel it does not really help in controlling or reducing the breakouts.

However, it does not increase them or make the situation the worst.

Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser

Apart from making my skin feel soft and helping remove the dirt like any cleansing milk would do. I really don’t understand what he hype is about?

Also, it does not work to prevent the skin from getting oily.

Talking about the cleanser being used for the body, I don’t see any point in using it that way. It does not foam at all. I personally won’t like to apply a cleanser that does not foam at all.

Now summing up the Pros and Cons:

Pros of Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser:

  • Suitable for sensitive skin.
  • Makes the skin soft and helps getting rid of the dirt.

Cons of Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser:

  • Does not work for the skin, in terms of improving the skin texture.
  • Does not work to prevent the pimples or help you achieve better skin.
  • Not a suitable cleanser for body.
  • Would not be suitable for oily skin.

Final verdict/ Rating of Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser:

1/5

I would not recommend this to anyone, it is just like any non-foaming cleanser.

Thank you so much for reading,

Until next time!!

Love,

Ridhima
