Forest Essentials Hair Thickening Spray Bhringraj and Shikakai Review

Forest Essentials Hair Thickening Spray Bhringraj and Shikakai

After using two, three bottles of Forest Essentials hair vitalizer I got bored and wanted to try something new. The Gods listened I guess and I saw this new product on Forest Essentials website. I went to the store and got this baby. However, the product is confusing at least my experience with it has been. Read on to know why?

  • Shake well.
  • Spray thoroughly on towel-dried
  • Comb through and style as desired.

Packaging of Forest Essentials Hair Thickening Spray Bhringraj and Shikakai:

The product comes in standard Forest essentials spray packaging like other similar products such as face mist, body mist, body lotions etc. It has a touch of gold and salmon pink which looks classy as well as cute. Flowers are drawn over it which I believe represent Bhringraj as it is the active ingredient of the product. The packaging of the product is quite travel-friendly due to the sturdy cap. The spray dispenser works well unlike the hair vitalizer’s spray dispenser I would say.

Fragrance of Forest Essentials Hair Thickening Spray Bhringraj and Shikakai:

The fragrance of the product is similar to the Forest Essential’s hair vitalizer, but is milder and fades away after an hour or so. It is floral and soothing to the senses. It actually feels very relaxing when you spray the product on your hair after a head wash.

My experience with Forest Essentials Hair Thickening Spray Bhringraj and Shikakai:

I love this product, period. Before getting into the details about the product, I would like to explain the comment where I said the product is confusing. I went to the Forest Essential store and the SA told me the product is meant both for the scalp and tresses. However, I was not sure because the bottle did not say anything about applying the product to the scalp and massaging as in the case of the hair vitalizer. But, since the product says that it is meant for hair follicles it is only sane if you apply it on the scalp.

So, I started using the product both on the scalp and the tresses. The product pleasantly surprised me when I began to notice hair growth. Yes, you read correctly within a week I saw my baby hair growing out and I could actually notice it. Unlike the hair vitalizer wherein I saw hair growth after quite a long time. The product is nongreasy, does not weight your hair down even if you use it on the scalp and tresses. After the hair dries off you actually can’t make out if there is something on your scalp.

Talking about another part of the story, I’m a Forest Essential addict yeah, I use a lot of their products. I visited their store again with a friend to help her shop something, there was another SA who said that the product is not supposed to be used on the scalp and is a thickening spray and is meant just for the tresses. That makes it confusing.

But, you know what I don’t care the product has been an absolute boon for me. If you were to listen to me. I would say you need volume on the roots of the hair as well if you want your hair to look voluminous. Plus the product is organic so I don’t see any reason not to give it a short.

Talking about the hair thickening claims of the product. Yes, the product makes your hair look voluminous. I have skipped the product a couple of times in my hair routine. I can say that the product does add a lot of bounce and volume to the tresses. However, it does not do anything for the frizzy hair. Your hair would look just fine on the first day, but the second-day hair would need a respray or a leave in conditioner. The volumizing effect lasts until the time you don’t wash your hair.

Pros of Forest Essentials Hair Thickening Spray Bhringraj and Shikakai:

  • The product works like magic for hair growth.
  • It adds bounce to the hair and makes hair appear fuller.
  • The thickening effect lasts until your next wash.
  • Does not make the hair greasy or lumpy.
  • It does not weigh down the hair.
  • Has a mild floral fragrance.
  • The packaging is travel-friendly and spill proof.

Cons of Forest Essentials Hair Thickening Spray Bhringraj and Shikakai:

  • The price can be a big turn off for a lot of people.
  • The quantity of the product could have been more considering the price.

Thank you so much for reading the review.

Until next time.

    1. Hie Sumana,
I have used Forest Essentials Shampoos but did not really like them. I like organix better than Forest Essentials. But, if you okay your shampoo not lathering that much you may try Forest Essentials range.
